Step one - Access registry editor to remove 

Windows 8 users:
Point mouse to lower right screen -> charms bar pops up -> click Search charm -> type ‘regedit.exe’ -> hit Enter key -> find its related keys with its name.

Windows 7/XP/Vista:
Start menu -> hit Run/Search box -> type ‘regedit’ (without quptation) -> hit Enter key -> find its related keys with its name.

Step two - Show hidden files to get rid of not-a-virus:
Windows 8
Click open any folder -> select Windows Explorer -> hit View tab -> tick ‘File name extensions’ and ‘Hidden items’ options -> search not-a-virus: mainly in roam and temp folders.

Windows 7/XP/Vista
Start menu -> ‘Control Panel’ -> search for ‘Folder Options’ -> hit View tab -> tick ‘Show hidden files and folders and non-tick Hide protected operating system files (Recommended)’ -> click ‘OK’ -> search not-a-virus: mainly in roam and temp folders.

Step three - If you got a browser mess, you may have to manually modify back the browser settings.

Go to Tools menu -> select Manage Add-ons -> purify Extensions tab and Plugins respectively
